July 12, 2020 Amusement Park A cloudy day at Lagoon Amusement Park, 6/29/2020 Posted by Alex Neville It was a rare cold day in June. I don’t like these days. But, I figured it would mean less crowds at Lagoon (I was wrong), so I headed on up anyway! Paper maps make me happy. Even though I don’t really need them anymore, considering how often I go here. All right, let’s go to Cannibal first! Ominous AF. I love it. After enjoying Cannibal, it was time to head to Samurai! Also got this nice picture of the Paratrooper and Sky Scraper. It started to rain while I was in line. BTW, I HATE mask pictures, and I think the entire situation from March until now has been absolutely ludicrous. However, I must admit that this picture made me feel like a vigilante, so I went ahead and put it here. I love this fountain I want to play in the arcade. But I still haven’t yet this year. I feel like it’s a good activity for when I’m in the park all day, and need rest. I was going to ride Cliffhanger. I love this ride when it’s hot. But consider this: THEY WERE RUNNING THE WATER FOUNTAINS even though it was freezing outside. So I had to skip it. Anyone who rides this when it’s below like 65 degrees is crazy. Ah yes, it’s time for the excellent Colossus. That’s right, love games, Gregg. Longest I’ve ever waited for Fire Dragon-Senpai. 😀 They were only running one train, and I’m still not sure why it was so crowded on a rainy, semi-cold Monday. Wild Kingdom Express. I can’t remember if I rode it on this day (since I’m a few weeks late with this TR), but I think I skipped it this round. Turn of the Century. Best swing ride ever. Well, maybe tied with the one at Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. WHEEEEEE! This is the view you see while riding Turn of the Century. <3 Except you’re a lot higher up! And last but not least, it’s time for Rock-O-Plane. I finally figured out how to flip the cars! You have to yank the handle backwards when you’re cresting the top, and lean back. If you do it right, you’ll start flipping like crazy! Hey look, mini golf! Super LAME mini golf, that is. I’m glad Lagoon has it, but it’s really just a bunch of featureless putting greens. I wouldn’t put forth the cash for this, personally. After that, I was getting pretty hungry, but didn’t have any food and I’m too poor to buy any. SO, it was time to walk past the fountain (that it was too cold to walk through) and head on back. The new wristbands are like 1000x better than the hand stamps and I hope they keep them forever <3 Last Lagoon trip for June of this year. Let’s bring on JULY!
