Unfortunately, I’m with the GP on this one. This is one of my bottom few coaster credits, and I’m not terribly upset at seeing it go. Only Kong at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom and the now-gone Psyclone at Six Flags Magic Mountain were more painful.
The last time I tried to ride it, I snapped my neck, and both times I rode it (Yep. Only twice, and I’m at Lagoon 1-4 times a month) I found my crotch uncomfortably shoved into the other person’s 🍑. Considering that I rode with 1) my mom (I think) and 2) one of my friends, this was not a pleasant experience.
Plus, no single riders allowed (unlike Whizzer at Six Flags Great America — I absolutely love Whizzer. It’s not painful at all).
Now Colossus The Fire Dragon? That one is my favorite Schwarzkopf.
Even so, Jet Star 2 is a 50-year old ride. Definitely a (painful) piece of coaster history. Here are pictures from my September trip.
