Trip Report: Dead Horse Point and Arches National Park, 4/24/21

As before, I’ve deliberated as to whether or not to include state and national parks as part of this blog. However, since I’m already including community parks, and because these nature parks often have features that are applicable to the theme park industry, I’ve decided that it makes sense to do so.

So here is a brief report of our April trip to Southern Utah. They were turning people away from Arches at first, citing capacity restrictions, so we went to Dead Horse Point State Park. After a brief trip there, we were able to get into Arches.

A nice little informative sign.
Nice little staircase here.
Love this place.
I sat here for about 5 seconds before we had to leave. But at least I enjoyed the lovely views.
Nice horseshoe thingy. It was fun watching the little boats glide over the river water. Can you see the one in this picture?
THE EAGLE FLIES ALONE! (Or whatever bird of prey this is)
Another nice picture of the horseshoe, though no boat this time.
Some of the hikes you can do there

After that, it was finally time to go to Arches.

Awesome!
bit of a cloudy sky, eh?
‘Cause I know that it’s DELICATE…also, I think that’s my dad’s shoe, but IDK. It was super windy up here, though it makes sense because that’s a huge factor in how the arches formed.
Landscape Arch looks more delicate than Delicate Arch. Say that ten times fast. It’s a nice little walk up here too.

All in all, it was a nice trip. Cool and windy.
