Every year, towards the beginning of summer, I take a walk at North Park and go around the Provo Rec Center in order to exercise, read, and get truly excited for summer and the outdoor water park season! Here is this year’s report:
Lame construction. Ew. Playground wasn’t open at all. In fact I think it may have been torn out.
Aw yiss.
Parks are so peaceful.
YASS the water slides! We won’t be going on them today — it’s too crowded — but I am excited to go here again soon!
Got a bit closer. Much closer, though, and it might’ve looked creepy. I wanna sunbathe too D:
Passing by Provo Pioneer Village. I’m not a super big history guy, so I haven’t been here yet. Plus they’re requiring masks, yuck.
They don’t even look open though. IDK when their hours are.
I’ve done this walk during all seasons. Summer is best season. By far. Walking this in winter, with snow on the water slides, is depressing as hell.
A lil’ peek through the fence…
This looked like so much fun. The sprinkler is going in the background, people enjoying the sunlight, chairs and towels and colorful tents, waterslides, trees, grass, fountains, a splash pad, and SUN…I love water parks so much!
Look at that line, yeesh. I plan on taking at least one day to get here as soon as it opens, get on the slides ASAP: first outdoor, then indoor. Maybe I’ll dive and swing by the lazy river, plus get in the pool itself. After that, I will relax and sunbathe, maybe with my phone or a good book, out on the lawn. Then the pool itself to cool back down, then head on home.
Nearing the turnaround point now.
The rec center, aw yeah.
I am approaching my point where I sit and read!
I feel like water should be running through this. Idk.
I sat here and read for like 5 minutes. Wish I went for longer, but I was already behind schedule.
I must make one thing abundantly clear: I ONLY like spring and summer. Everything else sucks. Early fall is okay because of Halloween, Lagoon is still open, and the Wilkerson Farm usually has their fair (not sure if they will be doing it this year). After that, yuck. Thus, I must LIVE IT UP for the next few months! This is going to be awesome!
Does fall have cute little flowers that pop up on the grass? I didn’t think so.
*insert some country song about loving my truck*
View from where I was reading my IT book!
Well mates, that was a fun time! But alas, productive work must now be done.
I’ll be getting on these slides very soon. 😀
And I will conclude with this lovely fountain! I had never noticed it before, but it is very cool. Do fountains run in the fall? NO, THEY DON’T. That’s what I thought.
Anyway, it was a great, short little trip and it’s been a great summer so far!
