Trip Report: Marina Park, 6/07/2020

I’m in California for this week. After arriving in Ventura after a long drive through the Mojave Desert, my dad and I took a walk in Marina Park!

Here we are. To avoid the parking fees, we parked in a residential area. However, after passing the toll booth, there was no one in it.
A beautiful, windy day in Southern California. My asthma was acting up a bit because of all the pollen getting blown everywhere. But the temperature was perfect!
I’m so happy to be here again! I want to get some ice cream and go to the visitor’s center, but IDK if they’re open yet…
The HARBOR! I am ecstatic…and also short of breath because asthma.
Fisherman off the dock, and seagulls soaring over the waves. Well, ripples.
Palm trees, deep blue water, boats, and chaparral shrubbery: quintessential SoCal. I want a boat.
Some pretty mighty waves today!
Walking through the dunes.
Overlook to the ocean.
What’s with the bad hair day?
Heading back inland…
Check out the toy boat! It was cooler when it had the zip line. But ah! Liabilities.
Looks like a pretty nice playground. But I don’t love the tied up swings. Remember, it’s COVID in California: no fun allowed.
Summertime, and the living’s easy. <3

In short: Other than the asthma difficulties, this was an altogether pleasant trip! Not a single cloud in the sky — just the way I like it.
